Just wondering guys Ive got a piston with 23mm pin bore
could I open up the L20b rod pin bore and offset it at the
same time +1mm to take it from 145.9mm to 146.7mm and
copper bush the piston down to 22mm pin and be safe?

Plenty of meat on the L20b rod but the piston is so cheap
I cant let it go for a forged set.

The rod stroke ratio will be around 1.78 - 1.8 so should
give the rod less stress than a short stroke setup

My thought leave the pistons alone and do all your mods on the rods. You can move the hole by opening up pressing in a bronze bush in the new position like in performance rods then use the pistons and pins as they are.

So I guess it would be relatively safe to go from 21 to 23mm pin bore on the L20B rods?
