Hay guys and girls.
Was woundering if someone in melbourne had a clutch alignment tool i could borrow.
Prefribly closeish to the carrum downs area but im not picky.

Do you have a spare gear box lying around? If you do, can't you just take the drive spline thing out of the front of it and use that. That's what I used to do.

Go to an autoparts store if any are open, they will have universal and possibly one to suit.
im in gippsland otherwise id lend you mine..

Use a bolt the size of where your imput shaft goes in and they use a spark plug boot for the teeth on the clutch disk, sounds sketchy but works relly well :)

When i was younger i used to just use a big phillips screwdriver or 8mm? ball nose allen key to centre the clutch by eye.
Insert it through the clutch plate splines (with the pressure plate bolts loose) and into the spigot bush. Centre the plate by stirring the driver/allen key in a circular motion as you do the bolts up on the clutch.
Always used to work with a bit of wiggling/rotating of the gearbox as it mated up to the splines...

As mentioned, Ebay and Autobahn stock universal 'plastic' tools...

Thanks everyone i did go and get one of universal tools but then got called into work. Try again tomorow

Ok so i did have it aligned ok just a stuped clutch plate i didnt have the splines lined up and when i twisted to line it up it bured the ends of the splines and the shaft wouldnt go in so i filed a nice wide chamfer on the ends of all the splines
