I just brought a set of wheels for my car and they sit out from the guard about 20 mm maybe 25 mm the tyres are chunky on the rim so I can bring them down a bit I was thinking with some neg camber I might be able to make it work but keeping in mind it is still a semi road car

I ran 6 degrees of negative camber on my 31 to pull the tops in this much. The turn in's amazing but it's pretty mexican.

The tyres look like 205's on those mags.
Like youve said already it would be best to fit a narrower tyre like a 185 etc with the correct profile.
Id complete the car a bit more too before worrying about the camber too much as trim, glass, interior and fluids etc all add a little weight.
Driving, or at least rolling the car back and forth will settle the suspension too.
Once the ride height is right, then work out how much neg camber you will need from there to tuck the tops of the wheels in...
With narrower tyres and a slightly lower ride height you may only need a degree or so out of some adjustable strut tops.
See how you go...
