Nissan Engine Block Blue?
For quests like that I take a sample of the colour to a Parts shop and ask them to match it to a rattle can off the shelf.
The bigger the sample the more accurate they can get it.
For example, if the air cleaner assy. is the same blue, use that

Yeah the block definitely has to be the "Datsun Engine Block Blue", and possibly black is allowable.
We used to just head to the paint shop and find whatever looked best at the time, very unscientific.

Taken from ratsun.net, a post by "Road Warrior":

The engine block has a paint formula.

For 1200s, it is different from earlier blue and later blue.
Dupont mix guide
806J HS BLACK 177.2
801J HS WHITE 290.0
828J HS FAST BLUE 373.8
830J HS FAST GREEN 444.4
702OG BINDER 844.0
7030G BALANCER 960.4

You could get someone to mix that up and see what it looks like...

Mostly OK, needs typical rust and panel work.

Thanks for the reply ....
She only has 62k on her but she sat in a garage for 7 years and unfortunately corrosion got the best of the head :(
Picked up another later model 84 bluey with only 100k on her but the block is black. Engine transplant will be this weekend.
The donor car is in great condition is such a shame to rape it for parts.
Will be wrecking her out once Ive taken what I need from it.
