Post subject:  1968 Datsun 1600 steering column surround and key position

Hi just seeing if someone can send me a picture of a 1968 1600 column surrounds and key position fitted in the car about the reassemble mine and have no idea where everything goes, also does the surround from a 1968 fit a later model collapsible column for my upgrade ? Pm me cheers people's :)

Thats perfect Greame, cheers mate appreciate it. Do you know it the column surround from the 68 column can be installed around a later model collapsible column with minimal fuss?

how did you get on with this as im currently looking at sorting out a collapsable column for my 68.

Hi there, yeh all good bolts in fine and later steering box goes in fine as well, one thing I've noticed is that the idler arm on the 68 is different so i got to change mine to the later one to match up with the Datsport conversion kit I got other than that it's as simple as bolting it in.
