Alright, I'm having some trouble finding the correct paint code so I can repaint it the original colour (would love to change but I don't have the time or money to strip out the car yet and do it properly).
It's just going to be a quick and cheap job on the exterior to fix the flaking paint (which is leaving exposed metal in some places
). But, can't find the paint code. The original owner was adament it was Flame Orange, but as far as I can tell, that colour doesn't exists.
What I have found is a colour called Brick (Burnt) Orange, paint code 227 from
http://www.ratdat.com/?page_id=25. Would this be the right colour? It's hard to tell, and I don't want to paint it the wrong colour, as the inside will look crap.
Also, what would be a good price for this (don't want to get ripped off), and what would it cost to re chrome the bars? Paint, new bars would make the car look soo much better (wheels will come after motor, suspension and brakes
).
Finally, I saw a Datsun ute with what looked like an A14/15 on the back, and presumeably one still in it, for 500. Which utes should I look out for with the A15's in them? I've been reading through this information here
http://jaw.iinet.net.au/cars/120y/a15.html, and it's been quite interesting, and I was planning on taking a similar route. Some of his stuff is a bit dodgy IMO, but most of it seems solid enough.
What do you guys reckon? Oh, one more thing, what adaptors do I need to get the temp reader working? It was borked when I got the car, and me and dad have tried grabbing an adaptor which was 'supposed' to make it fit and it still doesn't work. I'm completely stumped on how to fix that.
