Hi all
Does any one know a diff centre with a lower ratio for the 280C model 430. The current one is 4.11 ratio but would like something around 3.9 or 3.8. Any other models of datsun/nissan where the diff centre is a straight swap?

They do make 3.9s, I can't remember what cars came with them. Not sure if they go any taller than that but they definitely do make a 3.9:1

The diff type is called a H190, and it was used in some other cars, including the 720 utes.

There's a bloke that gets around on some of the Datsun forums under the alias of dat2kman and he probably has a crownwheel & pinion gear he'd be willing to sell to you?
