Nice and tight, looks good! Piping should be nice and short. Are you going to have any issues getting a hose from the radiator to the thermostat considering how the cold-side piping will be routed? Looks like they're all going to try to occupy the same space?

Great work there Dan. Any specific reason for this type of IC over the air:air type?

Looking forward to seeing some high res shots!

Cheers,

Trent

tell me about it. i actually ordered the new rad with no top outlet due to it hitting the plumbing. it will be much easier to solve this problem once to plumbing is complete. i will either find an S bend shape hose or make a pipe to suit.

few reasons mate;

1. proven lower inlet temps (especially when filling the reservoir with dry ice),

2. i didn't want the common 1600 look of; grille sticking out and rattling, valance chopped to bits like a drunk butcher, with a large truck intercooler behind it,

3. whole point behind this build is to do something different. the silver 1600 (plates FJ.510) has used a W2A cooler, but my cooler and setup is much different. in my spare wheel well i have a radiator and 16" thermo. He has all that at the front.

it's due for exhaust once the workshop sorts their sh*t out, i'll get some high res shots in the sun then. the paint just glows in the sun.

Took the rig down to Performance Exhaust Centre in Northmead this morning.

Unfortunately.. my mate driving my 4WD backed the tow bar into my NOS 2 piece front bar. Spewing! :shock: :shock: Oh well, it can be repaired.

Will get some more pics once picked up on monday...

Picked up from exhaust last night, happy with results. I had a 3" mild system from turbo back. Plenty of breathing space.

Stainless rear muffler looks great and is tucked up behind lower beaver really well. Hak @ performance exhaust cut out the lower beaver well to suit the 4" tip. Everything is v band join besides the cat.

Just have to get exhaust housing, dump and waste gate ceramic coated, get a turbo beanie and it's done.

Are you worried about boost leaking from that wastegate?

Didnt have time to finish waste gate plumbing before going to exhaust. needed it tacked on so dump pipe could be made around it. Will finish off welding before taken to ceramic coat :thumbsup:
