ok. so what if I converted the remaining headlight into a dual beam? surely that cant be illegal if I still technically have 2 highbeams |

The legal way would be to remove both inner headlights and make sure that both outer headlights have both high and low beam.The lights must be in pairs so you cant have 1 inner and 1 outer on the otherside. With both outers working you'd be ok. Pete |

Even that would need to be ticked off by an engineer. No easy way around it |
