Loving this build. Said it before, but one thing I will give you nz guys is that you aren't afraid of actually modifying stuff by yourself without crying every time something doesn't fit and hoping someone has a solution off the shelf.

With the bundy tube, any brake shop can usually supply it in lengths. I bought a 5/16's roll for my old mans car in 6 metres I think it was for $32.

Motorsport connections will have anything you need, but also charge normal retail for it.
thanks mate, ill have to go to town next week and look for some bundy tube. In mackay every bloody shop is closed at the moment, and when they are open its likely they wont have anything

just needs a bit of hammer work to tidy it up and weld the rear part on.

filled the holes in the oil pickup as I want to only suck oil from the very bottom of the sump due to the small capacity

no other photos at this stage.
When I look at this "Ironman" comes to mind
It's a big tunnel, yes? What seats will it take in there?
Lovely work, as usual, maaaaate!
cheers mate,

bench seat, you can just see it on the left. its bolted in and slid right back. the front lip of the seat has a recess to clear that rib on the floor so it will slide forward at least 10 inches.
still enough leg room behind the bench for me to sit in the back seat and im a big guy so its all good!

Holy sh*t, 6 monthsd with no updates, Havent done much, I have the car in storage at a mates place as i have moved house and have not had time to find a place with a shed.

Anyway, i decided to go front sump as the rear sump i made is not big enough.
I have built up the crossmember in the rear and am going to cut the front out when i next get some free time.

photos!

no work on this car for ages.
I moved back to nz late 2013 and bought a house mid 2014.
I have built a shed and am in the process of concreting the floor, putting in electricity, and so on.
It looks like i will be back in the shed in 3-4 months to get stuck into this.

I have also bought another one..... 1 owner, low km, mint, all original, blah blah blah help me!

Yes, other 'projects' take priority...that's just life. The poison still lives in you, and you bought another one? We gotta see some pics of that...please!!

90k miles on it. all original and complete. 8 track player and 70's tacho

3 speed column manual. engine goes really well.

need to replace heater hoses as they have all gone hard and are weeping, but i still take it out for a cruise on a nice day.

Beautiful. Is this an L20A? L24? or something else?

Same gearbox as the 230?

the 1969 and earlier had the l23 which was the odd one out. different to the other L series donks.

Love the stocker, but any updates on the VH45?

My mate recently purchased a 260z that came with the VK45DD & 350z 6 speed, looking forward to helping him get that project underway.

maybe 1 coil off the front springs and thats probably it. I thought about slipping a 5 speed in as i have accumulated the parts for it, but its pretty good not changing gear much when cruising round.

No updates unfortunatley. bought a hoist and set that up. Need to finish the replacement of the heater hoses on the one i just bought, plus a bit more work on the shed before i can really use it.

I picked up a 430 cedric front end that i want to try and fit as it takes up less room and will give me better handling.

260z sounds cool. they have a better sized engine bay to fit the big v8

The heater core looks a bit different on the 130, but the KEY heater hose that I had to replace on the 230 was done best with a Holden Injected 5.0L Heater Hose, the one that goes around the square manifold on the 90's Commodores (such as VR). Keep this in mind as it may be very useful due to the oddly spaced corners etc.
