Today was a pretty good day. Went to a local car show with work and everyone loved the car. Had many people coming up asking me about it or telling me about how they used to have them. For awhile I was getting more attention than the 2JZ swapped 240 we brought. There was an RB swapped 260z there as well.

Got my tires switched around after the show... now they look a little better since the rears have the larger tires:

Im probably going to drop it another inch or so in the front to get rid of some of the wheel well space.

None at all. Ive actually had more weight in the trunk and backseat than ever dreamed of with the Aeros. Those 80 sidewalls did not work well with my Aeros.

This setup is perfect. I probably would have gone with 185 all around, but Im happy with the way it looks and handles now. Finally no rubbing! :cheers

Im done with the exterior for awhile with the exception of new mirrors. I hate the ones on there, so Im looking around for another set. Thinking something along the lines of the slimmer metal ones...

Still need to continue with clean up, but here is where its at now:

I ran out of black paint for the middle of the top-center bar and Im debating whether or not to repaint the grey edging on it. My taillights do not have the grey edging so Ill either have to paint both or leave it off the grille. Opinions?

Well no one can see your front grille and tail lights at the same time, so it just depends on what look you want to go with. Here's how I did mine if you're interested: http://www.build-threads.com/project-51 ... dm-grille/

Yeah, that looks to be the technique I planned on using. I thought i had a few brushes in some art drawers, but I guess not. Im going to be driving it all black for awhile and if I dont like it, I can always just add the silver/grey back to it.

I acquired a new job (as a machinist) so part of the perks is that I get full run of all the equipment in the shop.

Using the sandblaster to remove some surface rust from stock bullseyes:

I straightened out the set of door sills I had and then sandblasted them as well:
