Hi guys im putting r31 struts into my 1600 and was going to use r32 turbo calipers.
But as i found out the other day these will not clear small wheels eg 13" - 14"

Is there any calipier/disc setups that will allow me to run small wheels?

Thanks in advance

Use R31 brakes as well - they run 14" wheels standard.

Some 13" wheels fit over R31 brakes (a set of 13" jellybeans I have in the shed do anyway)

That's a question best put to your engineer. They are fitted to a much heavier, more powerful car so an engineer may be happy with them.

They aren't wonderful in design (ie the rotor is integral with the hub, so if you wear out your rotor you will need to replace the hub and all), but they are a slightly larger, ventilated rotor.

Hmm, I'd rather something that there is no doubt they are good enough.. and will love being used and perform on and off the track but being able to use small wheels seems a killer

With good pads R31 disc brakes front and rear should be good enough for most people except serious track racers.
They are vented 250x22mm disc rotors on the front and solid 260x10.4mm rears. New R31 rotors and pads are very cheap to buy.
These are a good improvement over the 232x10mm solid front discs and rear drums of a 1600.
Most 14" wheels will fit over them depending on style of wheel and offset.
Some 13" alloys just fit over them. No steel 13" rim that i know of fits over them even with grinding of the caliper (tried this recently).
Search the site for other strut and brake options that fit small wheels, e.g 200B and 240K (both are solid rotors).
I recently cobbled together my own custom front brakes and suspension to fit 13's and hubcaps. With a bit (ok, ALOT) of customising i got vented front rotors to fit that are the same diameter as R31 front rotors except mine are 24mm thick instead of the 22mm on the R31.
Its easy to fit vented front brakes under 14's. Alot harder to fit them under 13's...

Datsport should be able to sell you slotted rotors like these:
