Looks good. Make sure the braid is heat rated though otherwise you may have a big mess on your hands.

Yeah should be pretty safe, its all on the cool side :) and where the loom goes through the firewall I have a big heat shield. Will also give it some heat wrap where the loom passes through the heat shield... Safe thinking though!

Nice work on the loom Cam. Where did you get the braid from?

Cheers,

Trent

After a lot of hours after work I finally got my ecu loom basically done, all thats left to mod is the coilpack loom for the splitfire's and the injector loom needs the golden touch... All the relays and fusebox are mounted DS spec... of course with my own little touch! Will power her up in the morn and run it on the bench to make sure everything is fine... Looks a treat.!

Where are you planning on mounting the ECU and loom inside the cabin Camo?

The mount is pre-fabbed to sit under the glove box and mount directly to the dash frame and body.. :)

Played around a bit this arvo and mounted my splitfire ignitor and greddy injector resistor to a piece of 5mm ally, Hopefully the ally works as a heat sink for them both, I've currently velcro'd them to the case of the ecu and will be keeping an avid eye on temperature of the plate which I think should be fine. Modified both of the looms and got rid of more excess wire.. I'm pretty chuffed on how its looking so far! Almost done!!!

Hey Cam,

Nice work :)

Questions:
- What are the plug/grommets you have used on the FW for the wires?
- How come the battery is there? whats the plans for the heater?

Cheers,

Trent

Grommets are some that Baz has had for a while, I think they were used for marine applications, look good though.. We have a heap at the shop...!

I got rid of my heater assembley because I didnt want the fuss of using the old style heater core and box. In replacement i'm going to use 12v camping hair dryer's directly onto the demister vents, we have done the conversion before and It works a treat! As for the battery mounting I thought it was a good spot as I didnt want it in the engine bay and that I wasnt going to have the heater box there, I wanted it out of the way and couldn't run it under my seats, so found this neat little spot. No fuss and short leads so sweet fa voltage drop.! Only problem is going to be jump starting  I'll jump that hurdle when I get there!

Cheers,

Trent
