Well it's been a very long time since i have posted an update on my 1600. Right now it's sitting at Westside mufflers in padstow getting the tail shaft and full 3" exhaust done, but i better update what i have done since the last photo.

Complete front and rear suspension has been ripped out and fitted with Datsport gear as well as MADDAT, the best of both worlds i guess. Well the conversion kit was from one of my other 1600 (MADDAT) all fitted well, but the gearbox x-member had to be modified because its a "68" model holes didn't line up. All tie rod ends are new and have been replaced and new bushes throughout. Front struts are the one and only datsport coilover setup 280mm with R32 caliper. I know the struts are the wrong way around i notice it when i was looking back on the photos.

The original rear diff setup was ripped out quick smart and a coat of black tar spray was applied. MADDAT modified rear x-member and a pair of r31 rear disc brakes with new shocks and Datsport hand brake as well as new brakes. Diff is a R200 long nose that has been locked but will be looking for a KAAS replacement.Springs are king springs 2 1/2"

Well the brake lines was the thing that i was not looking forward to doing the STRESS :? but i must say i was happy with the way they turned out. I bent them all in shape with a $15 pipe bender off Ebay and got race brakes in wetherill park (TOP GUY TO DEAL WITH) to double flare and fit the right fittings. I'm also using a willwood brake bias to control the brakes on the rear.
Not many photos but ill add more when the car comes back.

Now the fun part fitting the SR, being so tight i thought it was best to lift the car as high as it could go and come from underneath. So i was off to bunning for some wood and caster wheels best $20 spent  so the motor could sit on that and be pushed right in.
Gearbox was fitted to the motor to go in as one, but not before adding a new clutch EXEDY and a machined flywheel. The shifter has been cut out and lipped over and a datsport cover will be added.
Now it was time to put the motor up from the top with no real trouble.
