well it just doesn't look like an Autech motor anymore :(

apparently the 3 bolt exhaust manifold tip needs to be chopped off and some other form of connector put on there to clear the idler stuff?

anyway its taken a lot of time but here are the pinouts of the ECU.

last year when i did my engine swap i used this s14de pinout by Michael Spreadbury http://www.the510realm.com/viewtopic.php?t=19070 and an s15det from the internet somewhere to work out what wires I had to swap on my harness (s14de) to suit the Autech. it has worked flawlessly since :) BUT please double check everything from my pinouts ETC as I am no electronics GURU and may have stuffed something up and, well, disclaimer...use this info at your own risk :?

anyway I spent a long time making sure its right checking the Autech loom I have.

where it says 'N/A' it means there is no wire in my plug.
where it says 'to small white plug' it means I didn't use this wire and was irrelevant for my setup.
wire colours are after the pin number and correlate to the link above to Spreadbury pinouts numbers and colour scheme.

the last photo is maybe a little confusing unless you know a bit about wiring ecu's? but it basically means you need constant power for a few harness wires (check the 'spreadbury' link post above again as it has them listed in the 'white plug off harness' section) the second point in the pic is what I cannot work out (injector constant power wire) I could do it if i take my wiring apart in my car but I just can't do that as its one hell of a job, sorry. its also impossible to work out on my loose Autech harness. maybe someone else can chime in or you may have to get a better GURU! it sucks as that is really the only unknown from my end.

I hope you can make sense of it and gets you up and running. any questions I can try and answer of course. good luck!

Do you cover the raw aluminium with anything (such as a clear coat paint) to stop it from oxidising?
Hey mate, you could clear coat the polished stuff but I'm just planning on giving it a regular polish with that awesome purple polish stuff

It's supposed to protect as well as polish too

Cheers

I met Michael at the start of this year. He came out to Australia for a bit of a business/holiday and caught up with some of us sydney datsun guys. He's a really nice guy.

Second, scotch brite wheels on the bench grinder Polish up stainless and ally very well for future reference.

You have done a really good job with that engine conversion.
I was shattered to see the l series go, but that is one of the better sr installs I've seen.
Well done..

Thanks guys!

I might take it to the drags when it's all done

I'm running s15 DET electrics to get the coil on plug/ CAS setup, will be Nistuned to suit the motor obviously

Cheers
