Hello,
I am about to start a restoration on my dad's Datsun 200B wagon, and I would love to get a bit of "inspiration" if you will. So please post up photos of Datsun 200B wagons that you own, seen or like.

Cheers,
James

I used to have guys coming into my workshop all the time to check out the 64's i was doing on the pretense of getting some inspiration for their own vehicles, the problem is you get a mental block after seeing something really spectacular and try as you will when it comes time to try and use your own imagination to put your own personal touch to it the image of the other vehicles clouds your vision. IMHO experienced gain from 20 years of modding cars for strip and show you would probably be better to put on paper your own ideas first then rough them out, once that is done you can look at other peoples cars and still have your original ideas on paper for future reference. perfect example is>>>> i had a rolling shell 64 sedan i was going to do, and in my head i planned to smooth the whole thing out including the door handles and have remote opening, but after being to a show in melb and seeing a chopped pillarless 64 sedan the whole idea went out of my head and i tried to combine the 2 of them lol epic fail, but as you can see by that example it sux big time not to have a good plan of attack 1st.

ahh ok, cool. Thanks for that mate, I'm just trying to look for some images that me and my dad can look at in order to get an idea, we currently have a plan to make the car green with some yellow sparkles or something like that(dad wants that), I was planning on making it orange.

Thanks,
James

see thats what i mean, it is better to throw your own idea's out there for comment than to look at someone elses ideas and being dissapointed with the final result, and yeah green with yellow metal flake does sound awesome, i have done a lighter shade of british racing green with gold metal flake but i have never thought of using the yellow, well done man i would love to see the final result keep an update going on it, [][][][][][] a 6 pack for you for that 1

lol, ok yeah I saw a picture of an orange wagon on google, it has the granny visor and all that, looked quite good, so that's why I thought it would look good, dad doesn't like orange though, so we shall see what occurs.
