okay...
So I had a bit of time today. did some tuning; the power is slowly coming to me. I'm working heavily on my fuel and spark and accel enrichment has continued to be a bit of a swing between over compensation and undercompensation... but with persistance I am dialing it in!
Today I took the car for a drive and got a small taste of that to come. I was surprised to find out that it pulls well enough below 2000 to be a pretty drivable car. Very happy about that however I still havent got into the rev range for good horses intended for this setup - all bets are still off!
I've had some success cleaning up my map signal and compensating for the erratic nature of the signal and feel that with a couple more tweeks this will not be a problem for tuning *touch wood!*

More importantly for internetland people(since it is far more important to make things look pretty than to dial them in to make them go fast) I took some more photos!!! they are crappy iphone photos with the filters off but you get the gist. I think those trumpets look very striking in the ol' 330 engine bay :)
...once my girlfriend figures out how to use her enourmously expensive camera she just purchased i'll ask her to take some nice ones :)

...and a teaser video thanks to my housemate :D

Thanks for playing!! :)
(mark I need to call you about that water pump before I leave for Vietnam! you continue to be a hero of cedric folklore :) )

LOL, and I've seen his housemate.

That's freakin awesome, such a calm engine for such an aggressive cam......that's great work and testament to the flexability of EFI, not to mention the ability of the tuner!

Well done Pete.

it's a japanese domestic option for DCOE's shorter than a traditional weber/lynx/cannon but not as short as the mikuni manifold. It has be cut down, drilled and milled to fit pressed injector bungs and a TB adaptor plate (laser cut from 15mm steel plate).

Other than that I can't tell you more about it - I'm pretty certain no one manufactures them, or has for years and years.

New home, new wheels. If anyone is up here in the northern rivers holla out it would be good to meet some crazy japanese car lunatics up here. I finally found some rims I like for the car... drove up the brisbane to pick them up, painted, polished and put some new rubber on (thats a stretched 185/55/r14 on the front eeep!!!) of course they are mostly for look and the fittment is pretty much perfect front and back which I'm really happy about! It's not creditcard tight but still pretty tight me thinks :) Let me know what you all think. And yes... that's a cow in the background...

vinyl was gone years before I got near this car. No big loss.
It's good to be back on ozdat after the break,
