last year i sent over a glove box, centre radio surround and dash surround to the same guy that was selling the cf lhd panels.

he was going to make one of each for me and send a heap over to sell.

And now he doesnt respond to any emails.

just waiting for him to sign up to ebay under another name and selling complete rhd dash parts.

i really really wanted a SSS dash fascia, but just couldnt bring myself to pay the large amount for one from Tokyo-2u.

so last week i decided to re paint my dash instead. Came out pretty good. Couple of pointers tho... if you're not happy with the texture coat like U-POL or K&H etc, grab a can of gloss or satin black paint and give every panel a light mist (by light mist i mean holding the can 20-30cm away and quick bursts over panels).
the quick bursts of paint still maintained the factory textured look. its nowhere near as bright as it looks, just the flash bouncing off. actually came up looking pretty trick with S15 vents
My next challenge is to make the aftermarket gauges sit behind the dash fascia so they dont move, sit square and are mounted just behind the dash, not jammed in there.

Good old Nissan mate, making parts 40 years down the track that still fit the datto. They literally push straight in. Might need a little tape around it as its a tad loose.
Unscrew factory ones, push S15 vents in.

Thanks mate. yeah I painted the badge. Three colours and fine tip brush from hobby shop, and a few beers kept the hand steady

I painted the raised strip next to badge white as well, but decided against it.
