Mate

I have respect for the spot welds when sanding. The edge of some have small dags that are razor sharp. Real nice on fingers!!!

Hopefully have the undercarriage done over the next week odd, then back into the engine bay for fun times!!!

Next item to buy is the Haltech PS1000 and all needed sensors, relays.

Hey Aaron, you wanna sell me the purple shell and wheels???

Cheers

Perhaps some strengthening is required in the rear?

Yes, strengthening will done front and rear. Rear will be same as in picture in that thread, between towers. Front will be done inside of guard area, plus some extra spot welds etc!

Where are you guys welding seems etc for greater strength? I will be expecting 290-310rwks when finished!

Cheers

Guys... rear coilovers arrived. Started to fit all the suspension up under it but found one issue. The new control arms dont fit to the frame. Unlucky. Just waiting to see what Techno Toy Tuning say!!

On another note, with the rear frame, what order does the domed washer, flat washer etc bolt up to the body? Just making sure I got it right!

Cheers

Man, the camera made my sill look distorted!!! lol

All sorted on the Techno Toy Tuning control arms. Different OD on crossmembers between years. Got the right spacers coming!

What else have I done.... unfortunately not much... but decided to get into it hard today then Control Arm issue. Once the new spacers arrive then its game on.

Suspension back on..... so roller, then trailer to place to fit radiator and intercooler. Aluminium no go for me! After that engine in for dummy fit. That will be exciting for sure!

I am very happy with the shell.

Pretty keen on the carbon fibre bonnet, boot, and both bars. Less weight the better I say!

The rear coilovers are pretty nice too. Will make looking under the arse of the car pretty sweet!

CHeers

What did you have the shell dipped in to remove the paint on page 4 of this thread ? Are there many places that do it and how did you go about moving the shell to and from your place ?

Mate

This is where I took my shell.
http://www.recoat.com.au/

It is local to me, only about 15 minutes towing the trailer... which is the way I got the shell there...lol.... 2 bloke can lift the shell on the trailer, used forklift to get it off at the place.

I was a little worried about dipping the shell, but now couldnt be happier. I know 100% that the rust is removed, and there would have been places that would have been missed if I hadnt. Sure it cost $1500, but worth it in my mind.

Cheers
