i'm pretty stoked with it... like you say, simple but looks 'tuff'.

i think the BRE lip finishes it off. i decided to go black with the centre bars of the grille and also the centre sections of the
headlight surrounds (poorly done, but will do properly later) :/

the bumper hides the cooler outlets and it doesn't really stand out, no need to paint black, so i'm stoked with the IC as it is, it's neatly hiding behind
there letting those in the know, know "What lies beneath" ;)

Thats an earth mate, Goes to where the wiper motor generally bolts on. Probably not needed.

:) i knew it was an earth, just cant remember where it went on the SR.. want to make sure it's not going to cause any problems without it. i have the coil harness earthed to head, the main harness, the battery/chassis/engine earths...

Not much at all... super excited... exhaust in the next week or so.. finish off my gauges properly, put door locks in, bolt seatbelts in, mirrors, sunvisors, door trims, battery tray, steering wheel, spare wheel, centre console...... find last two bits for handbrake cable.... not much at all....

wheel alignment, tune... and DRIVE!

Narva halogen conversion kits... went straight in.... then just had to rewire accordingly. i used the diagram and setup from turbovan's website

Thanks for pics Ryan,
Have you had to cut out any of the front end to fit your cooler? (its new years day, im way to hung over to dig thru your thread) Is that the whole design point of that Datsport rad, why the mounting brackets are extended a fair way out, so you can get IC piping in there easier?

Post subject:  Re: Red510's Datsun 1600 build

just had to enlargen the radiator opening on the rad support to the shape of the intercooler (and it's pipes)
as for questions relating to the design of the Datsport radiator, maybe ask Baz...
if you mean why the radiator sits back away from the rad support panel, I would say it's so the IC and rad can fit behind the grille... nice and neat IMO.

there are plenty of pics in peoples threads of the opening... maybe use the search function... i'm sure i have a pic of it somewhere too.

Not far mate, looking good. Thats tucked up nice and out of the way. Mine hangs down that little bit along the gearbox Crossmember. Has it got a decent note to it?
You didn't want the flex joint up closer to the motor?
And is that a hotdog type thing in the middle?
