Has anyone had a problem with aftermarket interior door handles not fitting properly?
I think I bought a set of unused ones here and I've gone to install yesterday, alas they dont quite fit, the mounting holes are about a hole width too close together.
Has anyone else had this drama? Are they for another datto?

does the back surface sit flush with the door?
Due to the curved shape of the plastic part it may have bowed after it was moulded.
Can you flex it a bit so the holes line back up?

No, it sits flush. If i straighten the handle to try and reach the bolt holes it flares out.

You didn't buy them from ebay in Mexico did you?
Can you just enlarge the hole a bit? Without it looking tacky, just on the inside, then you can put the plugs over the top so you won't see it?

Try spectrum rubber for plugs, even Super cheap or scotties might have a blister pack of studs that you could use to cover it or modify. If worse comes to worst, you could probably use those plastic screw covers. Pick them up from the hardware, I sell them, but not in black so it'll have to be a bunnings job, but that might work also.
