yea i think the only place in adelaide with a onsite mandrel bender is AAA exhaust on richmond rd, the only other way you could have done it is 2 90degree mandrel bends there about $17ea, but if you cant get a real neat weld it would look no better, the black should look good, also what were ur springs ie lows or s/lows etc

yea i was thinking of going 90 bends but they were going to be $20 each and $10 for a length of pipe and it only cost me $30 to get that bent up

ok so a couple of things have gone down in the past few days.

first the zinc plater we use at work went into liquidation and im just lucky to have got my adaptor back before they threw it all to scrap metal. so we've had to find a new zinc plater and i'll be cutting it fine but it should be ready by friday and i can put the motor in on saturday :( :( :(

and today a 1200.com member helped me pull the engine out and he drove away with it on the back of his ute

ok so i spent a few hours and a few dollars on the car tonight.

things i got today include
-a brand new pretronix kit
-new electric fuel pump
-heaps of small crap

so i have the dash cluster all rewired with new led bezels and soldered instead of terminal blocks. i also hid all the non standard wiring behind the guard. tomorrow i have to cut some of the rad support panel out to suit my new rad as well.

and today my MegaJolt came in and now im just waiting for the kit of bits to make it work so i can sus it out

so so many hours off work the past two days and a huge thanks to andy-roo for coming out and helping. i was up til 1:30-2 on friday night and only stopped because i got to the point where i either needed to make noise or buy something lol. then up again at 6:30 saturday and it was back to set up again for the day. andy came round late morning and the engine went in, but not easily lol. with a bit of manhandling and some grinding we got it in there and all bolted up but at some point i cracked the inlet manifold so now i'll have to get that fixed before i run it.

now when steveo asked if it would fit i was hopeing it would but it turnes out that the air cleaner will foul on the bonnet. so tomorrow im going to head down to work and make up a new set of heavy duty engine mounts that will sit the engine about 20mm lower but it will still clear the cross member. i dont know if this will be enought but at least i can make a custom air cleaner to fit.

some pics for you lol

lookin good mate  ,
what psi you plan on running, only reason i ask is because that pulley on the charger looks a bit big,it might only run a couple pound boost if any.did u calculate the size of the pulley you need to make your desired boost level. Its possibly right as the supercharger looks as big as the motor nearly. Is it the 4cyl or 6cyl supercharger
my mate had to get a smaller pulley machined up then the stock one to run more than 4 or 5 psi,but that was on a 202 motor

i've set up on that pulley for now just for running it in at low boost ... its set up on a boss so if i by another off the shelf pulley, bore the centre and drill the hole pattern to change to another size. i will be going toothed belts as soon as i work out the right ratio but v belts for now
