Ok time for an intro for the 720. This was an ebay orphan described a a 1200 ute and no more info. After no bids I went for a look and bought it on the spot.
It's a 1981 720 twin cab with an L20 and 5 speed conversion with rego. Basically neglected for ages and had all sorts of bodgy things done mechanically so it ran like crap. Structurally its really good with no major rust.

So far have fixed;

Petrol tank vent arrangement incorrectly bodgied and had several vacuum leaks. All fixed and much better.

New plugs, reset timing, oil and filter change, carby adjustment, greased steering and suspension, checked brakes, fixed electrical issues with switches and lights, remounted rear lights, good wash and cleaned all the interior, tar and sealed the front floor, resealed windscreen, new seat covers all round.

To do - needs a new temp sender, top ball joints. Gearbox and diff oil. Got a new front bumper, a 4x4 grille and front indicators to go on soon. Still lots to do.
