when fitting a strut brace you got to wind the adjustment in so it goes tight/firm,not just bolt it into place

yeh but when try to do with these ones when u go to wind the adjustment in the whole bracket spins instead of just pulling the bracket in and firming it up..if that makes any sense..

cheers

Tried tightening each side evenly? 1/2 turn on the left one, half turn on the right one?

Just keep backing the nuts off evenly until it gets tight. And if you cant get it to tighten, call up maddat and tell them what's happening and how to go around it.

I think those round strut to strut braces are pretty useless IMO. What happens when you lean on one end when the other end is on the ground? Flex much? You're probably better off with a square or rectangular one if you're going for the strut to strut type, as a round sectional shape bends easier than other sectional shapes. And you are also probably better off getting a straight brace and get the adjusters to adjust towards each other instead of angled upward. Which would mean somehow mounting the mounting plates up higher so then you clear your air cleaner. Is that brace hollow all the way through or just in the ends?

Heres a thought...Why do you think they make nails straight? See what happens when you try and hammer in a nail with a bend in it?

hope you have a spare diff and axles for when the comp's over.

Where did you get the radiator from and for what car was it originally intended? or is it a custom jobby?
