James May and I are going up that way tonight so we might come past, depending on the time.

I've been reading the first page and it seems there are some tight-arse cops there, so in all seriousness, for those who have been, how many cops are present and how many cars do get defected there? The last car show I went to, at the end of last year in Mornington, a VicRoads officer and a TMU cop were cruising around in an EF Falcon with P-plates and getting cars for whatever they could find (hot rods without wheel guards, a friend's HQ for having a fuel cell, etc) so if it's going to be like that again I'll be hesitant on making an appearance.

In the time ive been going (about 8 years so far) I think ive seen 4 car's get defected. The show is run with the knox council and knox tmu as the money go's to charity there happy to support it :D . If you drive in a sensible manner you will have no prob's if you give them an excuse to pull you over but you can only blame yourself.

Steering isn't re-centering itself after turning, got new poly idler arm bushes to install but I ran out of talent when attempting it myself  need to wait for my mechanics to return from holidays to put them in to see if it fixes it, otherwise it might be the steering box. Something always goes wrong in summer when I want to drive the car the most, last year the diff sh!t itself and I had to get it rebuilt, now it's the steering :(

Hope it's not the box because I had the same problem with mine and that turned out to be the culprit...

They hard to find unless you buy a reco one from Baz...

Out of all the crazy cars that attend this show, I don't think the cops would even notice our little Datsuns.

It got rained out by 7. The toranas put on a good display. Not a datsun in sight. You datsun guys are pathetic. 1 skyline and 1 200SX. Plenty of nice holdens.

May and I were held up in the end, so we weren't able to get there until nearer 8:30, by which time we decided that it would have probably been rained out. Next month maybe.

If anything the cops are fairly easy going around this event. some very defectable cars there and people tend to give it a bit on the way out without being picked up

Bugger alll cops. The cops are great there. The only person I know there who had any trouble was a guy who brought his full slicked big block drag car, sub-10sec car. He got done for 'driving an unroadworthy car' or something and fined, but no canary (most defectable car I've ever seen on the road).

Someone drove a WRX in there one time with dealer plates and got hassled, may have been hooning too, don't know. But every single car that drives in there is very defectable. I take my Torana in there every month and I've never had a drama. It's very obviously canariable too
