Some interesting information there redsky. They were only ever available in Australia and were in fact the forerunner of the Bluebird TRX.

I have been recently talking to someone via eBay as he has a couple of SX parts from when there was one in his family. Unforutnately this photo he has of it is rather depressing :(

Now before anyone asks me to stop whinging over a 200B, I think it's pretty sad when this happens to any car!

I recently won an old Hot4s magazine from eBay that had a 200B SX featured in it. Here is a quote from the first paragraph:
Quote:
"The 200B SX was pretty ugly with its lairy stripes and joke rear spoiler..."
So I guess some of them must have had some kind of optional spoiler.

Personally I quite like the look of the SX in question, I'll scan and post pictures when I can.

I have a question, Is there a way of telling if it is a true sx from the id tags?

I have just purchased a red 79 200bsx it has most of the sx goodies still on it just needs some paint and putting all together. it is missing the wheels which is a bit of a shame.

They don't look like factory items to me.

I don't believe there are, as I wanted to know with mine. If it has a front spoiler then there's a good chance. Can you post some pictures of the car up? I should be able to tell you then.

I just found this on YouTube. Pretty sure it's a 200B SX although it's hard to tell.

I don't know what the go with the rear suspension is but it looks fun otherwise.

Tough as, factory like fit, yet this is a scrapyard job.

The front lip spoiler is off a late 80s volvo, with 2 inches cut out of the middle.
The rear spoiler is off a 80s prelude 4ws.

I always wondered how well one of those Volvo spoilers would fit.
