Yeah I can't wait either... it should be running this weekend.. then re tighten the head and get the exhaust done...
then dyno and we're ready to go sideways! :)
I reckon first weekend of Oct, if its a good day, we should go cruising... don't care where...

Keep it in the back of your minds... black spur would be my choice... :D

Well boyZ.. the datto is alive!!!
took it for a spinyesterday and what a machine!!.. the webers are super loud and the note is just music to my ears..
It is not as fast as an SR datto, but the sound of the webers at full throttle makes up for it!..
the engine will get dyno next weekend.. and i'll be ready for crusing!..

well here is a pic of the engine bay.. although its not finished yet.. its getting there.. :woohoo:

Hahaha... still not really proof, looks to me to be standing beside an engine, not really working lol.

Engine looks good though and car is top notch.

Thanks for the feedback fellows..
Yeha I've gpot the car booked for next weekend to get it dyno and then i'll be sweet...
cant wait really, but thanks for the kind words, I still need to get a top rad hose and other smal thing to get it spot o, but yeha I',m pretty wrapped on how it came out.. it was worth the wait!!..

well, lets go cruising!!.. I think we should organise a day to go and see leigh's b ild up and then go to brad's and see his car, give them a bit of a hand and drive the dattos on the way.. anyway, just an idea..

well, i will update video's of the dyno, my bro is overseas and i promised i will get him that so will do for sure!!...

Can't wait to hit the streets on full throttle!!

Well fellows.. the dyno went fantastic...
datto pulls like a truck! we got better results than we expected.. car drives sooo good, easy to drive, i was thinking that the cam might have ben a little too big for the streets, but it just very drivable, smooth power delivery from 2500-6500 rpm.. nice and flat torque curve. I have am ate with rotors and this feels like a rotary, i guess the whole thing is a combination of engine, gearbox and diff ratios, but i'm stoked!.. oer the moon with the power and driveability... some rough numbers we go at the wheels for a 2Lt L series aren't bad... got about 77kw and 260Nm at the wheels.. so thats over the 100hp at the wheels, anyway, in my own terms, i was doing about 50k/h clutched second and the wheels spins.. thats my kind of test with approval!!!...

I think one of the best things on the car is that it sounds awesome!!.. heaps louder than before, i think those big ports and valves make it sounds sooo tough!!.. i was in another car and Damo as driving it and the sound from the webers is awesome... anyway, here are a couple of runs on the dyno... just enjoy the sounds of a tough L series boys..... and girls!....

Fuel pump...I'm running a pierbourg fuel pump.. not sure on my speeling though...

I'm ready for cuising now!!!..
