Well this car is now back on the road. James purchased a running L20B from wogboy315, fitted the dizzy that caused all of the dramas on his last engine (whilst shouting that it was the Bluebird dizzy's fault) and is now cruising around in a 200B again. It now features seats from an Aspen GL, wheels from the same car, a lightweight flywheel from an L6 and a 200B SSS five-speed (which he still owes me for) but is otherwise fundamentally the same. It just needs another wash to clean six months of tree droppings off the paint and vinyl and then it will be just like the old days.

Nice work Nick. I'm proud of you. You finally have a car in your name that's on the road. And you can finally be rid of that pesky 260Zed. It did after all look like a duck's head. Now it's a duck with a smashed bill. A bit like Daffy when Elmer shoots him with his shotgun.



But on a positive note you are finally in a car with a power level more to your driving capabilities...

On a more serious note, with a replacement thermostat, the car is running very well and has not let James down yet. It even towed a trailer on the weekend. Although apparently when he floors it the car will shoot coolant at his leg.

Well matter of fact you bring this topic, Alistair told me his fellow friend brought over to Alistair factory a VP Commodore to transplant the 3800 engine into his Zed.

yes i also heard that an ecotech has been purchased for mays Zed or 200B

It will be interesting to see what's the outcome when the engine is in. Shall I get Buick badges for May for Christmas, If it gets done by the fellows at the factory

What happend to the 180b sss box it had?? i wouldnt mind another one...
