Most all 240K,200B,stanza,1600, etc struts are now machined to R31 length.
So there really is no difference in ride & handling if the same springs & shock are used and scrub radius, etc is the same.

200B stanza and some C210 will interchange once modified.

So as far as ride height is concerned all the above will be same height as the R31 strut.

We do however a race strut that is 1" lower than the R31 strut at lowest setting.
Bump clearance remains over 2".

We can mod existing R31 struts to this low setting with out the need for the race insert.
Change over the springs, shocks, & bump stops.

Thanks mate thats all good sh*t.

I was under the impression that Maddat use a 200b/stanza strut? Or a combo of both? Will have to check it out anyway.
Maybe i should get some 200B struts then, can you tell me if R31 brakes will fit a 200B strut? because ill keep my brakes if so and put them on 200B struts...

Chris

Pretty sure they don't although I haven't tried. 200B and Stanza strut are different. It's the 200B and 240K strut that are very similar. There are three different types of 200B struts, the Japanese ones with the Nissan brakes (disregard these, the brakes suck), and then two with different types of Girlock calipers. Either of these will be suitable, and one will also allow 240K calipers to be fitted.

Update :)

Got the rims polished at Ace Metal Finishers in Kilkeny, did a fantastic job and great service.

[ img ]

Wrapped em in some 195/50 Bridgy Adrenalines. came up swweeet 8)

Got my bumper back too... took a while but was well priced and a good job i think .
Front one still being done.

Then i called Baz and organised some new bits n pieces to increase the suspension travel and lower ride height some more.
Coupled with some 'ebay special' camber tops :)

Just need another pair of mk2's with more offset and the front bumper now...
My old springs and shocks etc are in the for sale section.

That was quick work Chris.
No time for a wheel alignment?
How does the ride feel with the stiffer inserts & springs?
Ride height looks good.
Any rubbing/scrubbing?

Cheers,
Yeah i reckon ill go to all jap day, why not :)

Baz, I cant really tell with the handling since i put those shitty springs in the rear, as the back is floating around so much...
Deffinately points at the corners more directly and can feel its stiffer.
Ill be back down on Friday to grab those springs i forgot :? and might grab some rears aswell.

Thanks for your help
