FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

So got the battery recharged on the CTEK after putting the new ignition in. Crank it over and wahoo its running, let go of key. Dies.

Exact same problem that caused me to order a new ignition and spend months fkn around with it. Oh man I could shoot it.

So im back to square one. Car will start just fine but let go of key and it cuts out. Only thing I can think of is check the earths but i didnt have time on the weekend. Ill make a thrad in the electrical section and get others ideas.

and costs about $15, looks easy enough to change. Where is it in the car?

So its def the balance resistor. Pulled it out and gave it a good clean up, its corroded as. Got the car to start up and idle fine for 30 seconds then bzzzt back to as it was.

Ordered new part from Datsport. $40 delivered, thanks Cam!

Put in resistor yesterday and its all running like a dream.

So i swapped the ignition back over to the original one and put the column shroud back on so now its running sweet and back to normal inside.
