Hey mate,
Theres a place called AGI Automotive in Bayswater (near Morley):

http://www.hotfrog.com.au/Companies/AGI ... ernational

They have done half cuts previously but not sure if they still do. Im assuming they would. These guys are great, and really know their stuff. They are a wrecking yard specialising in imports/turbo sort of thing. They have a yellow Nissan Cefiro drift car which is sometimes at the drags. Their worth giving a call. PM me if you like, and I can tell you what to say..

My Dad used to own a wrecking yard, so he knows quite a few places. But i'd say AGI is definately pick of the bunch.

Mike has more 1000s more suited for a test bed. Not his 'best' coupe!

And Neil wait and see what me and Aaron might be fitting in a 1000  SR20, how boring

Why do people think that by fitting a nose heavy engine into a 1000 is going to make it a better car ?

Bear in mind making it stop and handle would be serious priorities over trying to make it go like stink in a straight line
You know the diff dificulties we already face too

I don't understand

But hey
Its your cash.... go for it
And more coupes you destroy... the more mine are worth

More power to you

Ah but we're doin it to a wagon. And a 1UZ is probably just as heavy as a A series. and at a $150 starting price why not go crazy? Its only gonna be a strip/burnout weapon. Unless it actualy will still handle alright incase i may bring it on a cruise or 2  That is if we even do it!

Oh well thats ok then
Do it to a rare wagon

How about
Put the motor in the back with a transaxle
Then the thing stands a chance of fitting

I have an adaptor plate and flywheel here to suit A series to VW Transaxle if you really really wanna create something

yep the more kgs on the front the better
anyway the car was for sale for a hell of a long time
and im willing to swap the coupe for a nother 1000 if anyone realy cares about saving it from the chop chop
and no one has done the sr20det in a 1000 so its different
and its gonna be a burnout car that goes to motovation and shows the v8s how to do a skid
i brought the car for the boot lid and if things sit around for long enoff i start getting ideas lol

anyway i would love to swap it for a 1000 ute

Dreamers
Just because its an alloy block doesn't make it lighter than an A
Check the weights
Don't think the susp will handle it in stock form

Rob, I don't know who to get fron cuts from.

I just remember Deza had a more smokey engine sold to him.

Maybee PerthUte and Aaron Sise should speak to Simon with the cream SR20et 1600.

He seems to have people in Japan he sources through.
