I was invited down to see Nik's sr20datsun on the dyno today and managed to sneak mine on for a quick tune. The result was quite surprising.
Red line 188.7 @14psi
Blue line 166 @12psi

Thanks for the call Nik. I'll let you share the details of your time on the roller

Sam did a great job on your car Tones. Was very impressed at how quickly and thorough he was at tuning the SAFC! I also liked the fact that he stopped the first run because you car was too lean! That'll learn you!
191 RWKW but lean as a biatch.

Some photos!

Thanks for posting the screen pic Nik, if nothing more than just the bragging rights. hahah.
After i got home i started studying the boost map on the AVCR and noticed that the the high boost (14psi) was set using the self learn function which isnt ideal. Im going to relpace it with my own map and should be able to pull 500rpm out of the spool up time. Hopefully see 14psi by about 3200 and really see some on-boost tyre frying.

Also checked some other settings like fuel pressure and airflow correction and noticed that the fuel rail pressure was up to 65psi. A bit higher than id like, but it was the only way he could keep the afr safe at redline with the 380cc injectors.
It was great to be able to witness the tuning first hand and talk to sam about each step. Gave me a great insight into the working of the safc. I was quite impressed with the result using the combination of the safc and adjustable fpr.

thanks tim,
Spent the day in the garage again today, this time finishing off the front strut brace. The 180sx wreck that a bought for the engine also had front strut brace, only problem was that it was about 15cm too long. Quick cut and weld fixed that!

Lookin' good tones.
So now you have a proper heat sink over the extractors!
Might put some heat into the struts though :D HAHAHhahahhahhaa

Thought i would pop into my local import wreckers on sat to see what they had in the way of front seats. I originally had my mind set on some wrx seats but they have been fetching a pretty high price lately. Instead i found some series 6 rx7 seats which, from first looks, would fit a little better. Manage to talk him down to 350 for the pair, which sealed the deal.

Rails seem pretty straight forward. All i had to do was grind off the original mounting brackets and then use the bracket mounting points as the new rail mounting points (if that makes sense). Bought myself some 40mmx5mm steel strap (i figured bigger is better when it comes to fastening seats) and then measured up for the original 1600 brackets. Besides the fact that one seat took 5hrs + to install, im pretty happy with the result. Nice, strong mounts and a pretty good fitting seat.

Yeah Tones, you've done a great job, and all the small mods keep making it just that little bit better.
(I like the mod where you converted the AM radio into an FM one  :P )

If you are referring to wiring diagrams, there are a few pages in the electrical and EFI section which will help you. OR you can speak to Pete from PLMS who will re-splice your loom to suit a 1600!
I think Tony did his own wiring.
