It probably doesn't use the 3rd wire.
You need to determine what type of TPS you have,
contact or
potentiometer type.
Easy done with a multi meter or test lamp.
From the diagram, as long as the TPS is the simple
contact type, then you just need the ECU Grey and Brown wires to tell the ECU that the TPS is at IDLE position.
The other contact is probably a "FULL THROTTLE" contact.
Obviously it will tell the ECU when the TPS is at full throttle by grounding the 3rd contact, or as you have, the Orange wire.
From what I can determine from the diagram, the ECU makes no use of a FULL THROTTLE signal.
If the ECU and loom are 2nd hand, looks like it is, then the previous use/engine may have made some use of this signal.
It may have been a boosted engine, whereas yours is atmo. is it not?
Looking at the TPS, my best guess is that it is actually a
potentiometer type
If it is, then you will need to wire it as per the lower diag. [sorry, sideways] using the ECU Blue, Grey and Brown wires.
