lol, I know that. I have friends of all sizes :) You would be surprised how much love they do get. But they don't get it by wearing bikinis :P

Burnouts require little or no skill (unless you are entered in the SummerNats burnout competition and even then it is questionable). If all these 'Hoons' out there really think they have skill behind a steering wheel, then they should get out there and prove it on a track or rally stage. Beating some sap in a RICE'd up excel in a drag at the traffic lights or doing a burnout on a public street only shows how small your d*#k/balls are.
So why did people get excited when that movie of a datto doing a burnout got put onto this site... Everyone should dismount their highhorses. You know you've all done em on public roads, so yeah... And as if no-one here's taken off quickly at the lights... why do you build up yr "daily driven" sr'd/ca'd datto's?

Yes, the only thing worse than Govt censorship is self-imposed censorship done in fear...

It means the tyranny has won already!

Fair point.
BUT when members & the site owner is targeted by Police for 'hoon/illegal' activity what are you going to say then?

Let me rephrase that:

Fair point.
BUT when members & the site owner is targeted by Police for 'hoon/illegal' activity, it simply makes it harder for the rest of us enthusiasts who abide by the law.
Why should I be targeted by the police for doing nothing wrong, just because an idiot minority has broken the law?

(I shouldn't rush typing).

"I'd like to speak to my lawyer" would be probly be the first thing.

If I may make an addition to Lurches response:

The policy is a reflection of the current political/legal/etc climate with regards to the modified car scene. You don't like it? Fair enough. Go ring your local MP. Make an appointment with them, go in, sit down and explain to them your concerns. Before you go think about exactly what you think the problem is, why it is a problem, and think of a few solutions so that you come across with a degree of credibility.

Alternatively you could just have a whine on a forum.

Bob's right on the money. Your government made this possible, so have a whinge to them. Being tarred with the same brush as some minority is something that seems to happen continually and if we don't speak up about it, nothing gets done. Speak to your local representative member, and tell them you are unhappy.

Post subject:  Re: ANTI HOON POLICY

I was bailed up by a bunch of camera-wielding media stream uni students in the staging lanes at the WSID off street drags the other night (the only place I race  - now where's that halo emoticon when you need it?).

They were recording video interviews with competitors asking them why and where they race their street cars. It was pretty funny and fairly obvious they were trying to get us to admit that we also street race.... I was asked the same question in several ways - but hopefully never said anything that could be hacked up to sound incriminating in the edit room.... We'll see I guess :)

Ah.. they are experts at that!!

Like the lovely Simpsons episode where they show an interview of Homer admitting to something like paedophilia and the hands on the clock on the wall behind him jump back and forth about 15times while he's speaking...
