After a breif look over the supp regs-
2NS licence
And your car needs: Mud flaps, triangles, first aid kit and fire extinguishers.

Dont know if you could do it on your L's. Could allways let your dad drive!

I'd do it in my car, as it looks like fun. Just need a nav.

The best road in Victoria?

Any road LEAVING this state would qualify in my mind.

Probably the Tullamarine, as it heads to the airport.

well also looking through the sup forms and the rego forum it says for competitors under 18 they need written consent from a parent or guardian? I took that as you could go in if you had ur L's and where not breaking any laws to normally driving on L plates i.e had someone sitting next to you eg my dad :P i donno maybe it dosent work like that but I also got a L2S J CAM's so maybe ill send one of the guys an email or something :P

and as for the best road is out of this state comment I would rather be living in vic then any of the other states that I have been to, and freeways are sh*t boring to drive how about the grand ridge road any of you guys driven that before it looks like a ripper to drive
http://206gti.net/grr/1/stage1.htm
I have organised a cruise along it for next school holidays with my school m8s so I will try take some pics see how it is and if its any good maybe we can do it in summer some time :P

I like the road going through the Black Spur. It's between Healesville and Narbethong. It's not long, but has nice twisty roads and great rainforest views with the tallest trees i've ever seen.
Can be slippery during cooler months but worth a look.

Hmm black spur i did that the other week with my m8s and i have to say it was a major major let down  the road between heailsvill and kinglake was 100 times more fun same with the kinglake heidleberg road and they were also 100 times less crowded (no gay corollas to get stuck behind slowing down to 15kmh for each corner  )

I work around Gippsland, so here are some of my regular best drive challenges if you plan to visit us.

Traralgon to Mt St Gwinear ski trails, via Rawson - The Boola Forest Road followed by the Thomson Valley Road. About 40 mins of Datsun driving bliss. Do this one with a set of cross country skis and snow chains for a great day out. If your not into snow, visit Walhalla, its also on the way.

Grand Ridge Road from Mirboo North. Go either way, west to Seaview, or east to Callignee South.

Bonang Road, Orbost to Wulgulmerang via McKillops Bridge. Warning, although its not too rough, I did a set of rear shockers in a VE Comodore on this drive last January - about two hours of serious driving, and got paid to do it!

My most enjoyable drive is Traralgon to Mt Howitt car park, via Licola.
100kms of fast bitumen, river valley drive with a few tight bits, followed by a 30km gravel hill climb up Mt Tamboritha then 50kms of fast gravel via Arbuckle Junction and across the Snowy plains. Rally drivers dream country. Not possible just now as recent floods washed a bit of the Licola Road and Cheynes bridge away.

Back to the Echuca idea on 18 August. Sounds like a good plan to check out the Rally. Give me an idea of where and when you would assemble in Melbourne to get there in plenty of time to see the start in Echuca.

There's a ball tearer that I do quite often. It's from ringwood upto Sunbury.
You can take the back streets onto the highway (western ring road) through to the tullamarine airport, and then upto sunbury. It takes about an hour not breaking the speed limit and getting stuck behind people who do 15km/h through the hairpins..
Once you get to Sunbury, you can cruise upto Hanging Rock.
