oh right, yeah i ran -8 braided teflon line from tank to rail. Had steel bungs welded to fuel tank so i could use AN fittings for feed/return.

It'll be on the hoist next week for exhaust, i'll take some snaps then.

Coming along very nicely Dan. It's good to see some very well thought out mods. Should be a fantastic car when it's all done. It's funny how something so simple like fitting wheels can give you a nice little motivation shove..
Looking forward to seeing this thing eating a few modern cars at the strip.

Thanks Nick. It's been going on long enough now. About time I finished it.
Yeah it is funny. Once i put the wheels on and lowered it to the ground, I got that same feeling like when you were a kid and walked into toys r us for the first time.
Some people really just don't understand that little concept called power to weight ratio. It will be extremely satisfying smashing a VE HSV for the first time :giggle:
Cheers.

Thought i'd throw in a quick update. Not much happens when you have kids. Actually, absolutely fkn nothing happens. Not the best quality photos under fluro lights and using a flash. Will update everything once it gets outside in the sun.

Trimmer finally finished the boot, i gave the surge tank a polish, fuel system finally all connected up

Got gauges hooked up. The speedo/tacho are from Speed Hut in the USA, oil pressure, boost, water temp, fuel level are from Howard Instruments. Using the aftermarket centre console by Gilson products. Looks really good.

Made my own clutch/brake reservoir. Took a lot of mucking around to shape it to firewall and strut tower. Definitely worth it over buying the Autobarn special. Fits nicely in that corner next to fuel pressure reg. Planning to make a mirror image in other corner for catch can.

Gave the reservoir a polish this morning, came up great.

Can you PM me some details on your FJ rebuild? You seem pretty happy with the engine builder you used. Can you possibly PM me details on approx price and what you had done? Im just trying to get some info on what i need to know in relation to what to improve etc when rebuilding an FJ. Im a bit of a novice with the FJ, as ive only really used and played with SR's.

Bought a crank trigger from USA. Plated 60-2 toothed wheel, with sensor & mount bolting straight to factory timing marker. Much easier and neater than mucking around with a universal kit. Cost more in postage than it did the job, but well worth it. Need to send ecu off to Autronic to have firmware update installed, also need a reluctor interface to make trigger work (changes signal from variable reluctor to hall effect).

Just reading your thread. With your R31 disc conversion, what hard lines did you use? Factory 1600 ones? Did they need any modding to fit?

A couple of years ago, i asked Scotty @ Mad Dat to make me a new brake hard line kit for a 1600. He has supplied hard lines for rear calipers than run along trailing arm, then to factory joining clamp. then i've made braided hoses from this to body.

would be fairly costly i imagine to make a braided hose the length of that hard line.

New thinner PWR radiator arrived, mounted the CAS kit, finally had some luck with fitting the W2A intercooler whilst still using the spal 16'' fan. Fits with mm's to spare, but it fits. Started on the plumbing.

Looks ten times better in the sun light, fluro lights just dont do it justice.
