a little while between updates.. some progress..

paint has started. Need final polish, some paint in the boot and fitting of the panels...

Colour is commodore red. It looks more orange in these pics, but does look red in the flesh.

LOVE the trim, I've been thinking about doing something similar to mine when I get to the interior. Are you doing the diamond pattern on the door trims too?

Yep, there is a little diamond trim on the door cards too. :)

back seats and carpet in... wheel well trims done. parcel shelf done.

Hood lining in (still the fittings to go). Probably shouldn't have kept that folded up for 2 years. The creases should go over time, especially with some hot days... Apparently a light going over with the heat gun will get rid of them, but it can make the lining brittle. Anyway, it's not really too noticeable.

Looking very nice Tom. I was always a fan of this car being black but the red definately suits it too. I'm looking forward to seeing the finished result.

Some progress... getting someone else to do it does feel like cheating a little... but.

engine in.
Datsport r31 struts in.

[ img ]

I must say, the overall quality of these looks pretty good, but i'm disappointed with the 'x-factor' or calliper clearance required for these struts. My +25 14x6.5 watanabes don't get close to fitting. The main reason i went for these over the r32/r33 ones was to fit the 14" rims... going to have to machine the calliper or wheel to make them fit i think..

[ img ]

on the ground with some 25mm bolt on spacers... not too sure how i'm going to get the guards on...
