just wondering if the wiring for the l28e ecu (280zx) is different from the l24e (mr30) wiring?
cos im running l24et with vlt injectors and runs alittle rich off boost so was just thinking a l28e ecu would run them alittle better. since stock l24 injectors r around the 160cc mark? and l28e injectors r 188cc.
i have tried the ecu and the fuel pump doesnt prime. so either different fuel pump/relay wiring, ecu is stuffed or something to do with that it came out of a auto l28 and my r30 is manual.
dont wanna waste time looking for l28et and l20et stuff cos told will also need the dizzy etc.
im also using a l28e afm but looks to be the same as l24e one only spring tension was a little stiffer which i have adjusted it even more now.
any help would b tops 8)
cheers...

Other than AFM and injectors, I don't know of any differences. The ECU's are marked differently, but I don't know if they are different internally or not... As far as it not priming, I don't think a transmission inhibitor switch would make any difference... they only stop it cranking, right?

Are you sure the fuel pump is good? Sometimes when the brushes are worn, you have to punch them to make them go. I once had a fuel pump go due to bad brushes and the pump I replaced it with had the same problem. And the pump after that, too. I installed a fuel pump override so I didn't need someone operating the key while I punched it. Then I got sick of being stranded miles from home, so installed a bosch pump and the alternator couldn't keep up, and I almost got stranded again. Then I replaced the alt and the new alternator's diodes died.

My name is Jared, and I'm the unluckiest person on Earth. Thanks for listening.

run of bad luck there lol
yea fuel pump works fine cos std l24e ecu runs it all good. just thought l28e ecu would make it run alittle better cos they run slightly bigger injectors, and had 1 layin round so worth a shot.
cheers man...
