Well first meet down, and I have to say I reckon it was a huge success. I personally haven?t seen a MNM that big before, there were a few new cars that came out of the woodwork and large group of Datsun enthusiasts.
It was really good to meet everyone and thank?s to those who gave me input regarding our club.
We had over half of our members attend which was really good to see as the people vs datto count was far outnumbered and was great to see that people were still so keen to support the scene and come out regardless of their cars being finished or not.
In addition to our members, there were quite a few partners, friends and family so I hope we can keep up the awesome turnout we achieved last night.
We did a big introduction with everyone and it was great to see everyone respond well to the direction I spoke about. Big thanks again for a 100% participation rate, it really made me feel at ease.
On the food front Subway and Kebabs was closed so I?m sure there were a few late night Macca?s runs there at the end but all in all the mood was good. This was affected by it being a public holiday and have been assured that they will be open for subsequent Harry?s meets.
Some very important news I over looked in the excitement?.
Trent has put his hand up as events organiser and has been the go to guy in getting the 2nd of June cruise setup. Also Rainer is very keen to help out with administration this will involve a wide variety of work. S thanks again guys I know the club is in safe hands
The next cruise by the looks of it is going to be huge, I really can?t wait. Look out for a digital copy of the maps, information on the format and just some basic rules for or cruise. It will be massive so make sure you don?t miss it.
Next meet is at Subway,Underwood cnr of Compton and underwood rd. To make the MNM as fun as possible when it?s maybe out of town for people having a meeting point that north siders and beyond could meet up at and cruise together and the same for gold coast people would be an easy way to incorporate some mini cruises throughout the year.. This will definitely be the case for the July sumo?s Gold coast meet. It will be great to all rock up in tandem.
T-shirt design will be released for your viewing pleasure in a couple of weeks time to give you a sneak peak of what your membership will entail.
Enclosed with this email I have attached the first QPDC newsletter which also has the membership form attached. If everyone could fill that in and have it ready with your membership fees for the next MNM that will allow us to start getting all our commitments met and out to the tshirt, stickers companies etc ASAP.
Tim will be opening a bank account purely for QPDC membership fees. I will also have change at the cruise and also the MNM two days later to accept your forms. (Reciept?s wil be provided)Any money that is left over will be pumped back into the club, it could range from a simple end of year bbq to a discounted go kart day. (All staff of QPDC do so in their own free time and free of charge)
At the next cruise we will be having a datsun Barbie, that?s right snags off the back of Rainers ute sounds like a great idea cheers Rainer.
Last but not least check out our website
www.qpdc.info for all your latest news and pictures of last night.
Well that?s wraps up a huge first Monday night meet for QPDC, in summary we had a huge turnout, we had 6 new members give us there details. Remember Remember Remember Keep the 2nd of June free (it?s a Saturday) for the cruise and lastly and most importantly send me your feedback this is your club and only is there because you attend so let me know your thoughts, dreams and criticisms we are here to listen.
Cheers
