anyone entering this year? slowl20b, datto-510? I'll be there in the GTR after missing last year's event without a car to compete in.

I found some in-car footage from 2004 in my old L18 powered 1200 coupe (hence the username). here's a couple of the less embarassing videos, where I didn't crash or overshoot stop garages! The first vid below was the equal fastest time on Prince Henry Drive with with a heavily worked STi:

Fantastic event. i did the Coastal Challenge a little while back, but have to miss this one, as my Navigator is getting married, and he seemed to pick the 26th as the date ....

so perhaps next year. are you going to Pittsworth this year?

thanks mate. The field includes the 6th outright driver and 1st outright co-driver from QLD Dutton Rally, so it will be a good gauge for our performance in the GTR - even if I am doing it on normal road tyres instead of semi slicks...

nah, thankfully Mark hasn't entered. I don't have the bhp to compete with him! Maybe I got the placings wrong, but the guys i was referring to are Mick Jones in his 2.5l STi and Shane Topping in a 2006 STi, both heavily modified cars - Mick even has Launch Control!

My car has std ceramic turbos, std boost, std brakes. only mods are a Mines remapped ECU, big exhaust and Buddy Club coilovers. and normal road tyres vs their semi slicks...

should be fun! :)

no results yet, but here's a few photos from Prince Henry Drive (Toowoomba) and Wivenhoe closed road stages

edit: images pulled due to the photographer (not a professional, doesn't sell the images, and no contact details on his site) throwing a wobbly on another forum about the unauthorised use of his images without credit - not that anyone could have found out who he f-ing is anyway - I tried!
