Hi one and all, I've not been able to locate for sale a badge for the boot area for my 1600,located centrally between the tail lights.
Question-- anybody know, if the badge located same place,or on bonnet on the "Fairlady" would fit, this may give me another option.?
Cheers.

Thanks for input sutho510. I bought mine new in May 1970,but I guess the production line had its variants to use up stock.
Have you got any front guard badges for sale ,I need 2 of these also, my originals are beyond repair. I think I recall from previous posts you had some . ? ?

May try contacting a "Fairlady" club see if they can help with the boot area badge. The Fairlady seems to have a similar badge on front and back.

Parts manual says it was first used in Oct 68, my 70 has the same badge, 71 had a different "Datsun" badge on the right hand side of the boot lid, not sure exactly when the cut over was. Fairly sure its unique to 1600's from these years.

Fairlady badges are different, one on the front is just individual letters rather than all linked together.

Reproduction front guard badges come up for sale every so often (keep an eye on ebay), the rear badge will be genuine only (I've never seen a repro one).

Thanks Dave, sounds like its going to be very hard to get hold of this "Boot Badge". Guess I will have to live with the location holes for a while . My original badge is in very poor condition.
I wonder how we can get these made ? ?

The front grill badge is another that is very hard to find,(plastic).
Thanks again for your interest

How poor is poor condition? Even if it is rusty and has peeling chrome you should be able to get it restored.

They're out there - I have managed to find both front and rear badges as NOS.

It did take me 15+ years.............

I did come across this, never used them https://www.facebook.com/mdsklz1979/?hc_location=ufi

Thanks for your interest. "poor condition"--- yep snapped in half, quite badly corroded/peeling chrome, could be hard to find some one who could weld together .
