Just theoretically speaking would anyone know how much to cast
a new engine block eg. L16 to take 92mm bores, high content
graphite iron, 4 bolt mains and bellhousing for Tremec T5 or aisin 6speed?

Sand cast was my thinking using todays grey cast iron engine block techniques
but probably 3d printing would be easier and cheaper for a one off or sand mold

Could be made with closed deck and drilled to suit either SR or other head
Crankshaft to suit SR for ease of aftermarket parts. Might even be used by
drifters and drag cars with boost rather than expensive billet blocks.

Is this finished yet?

I'm on the other side of the world to my Datsun bits so can't have a look, but would you fit 92mm bore without the bores almost overlapping ?

The Ka24de can take 91.1mm bores for sigma 2.6 pistons so Im pretty sure any L series
could accommodate 92mm bores, if there was enough material to start with!
A new cast would be a surer way to make full use of FIA heads true potential and KA24de heads Max potential

Looks like a metal 3d printer will be cheaper and easier
than getting some 3rd world country to cast anything.
Titanium and Iron 3d printers are filling the void soon enough!
