Just want to dig this up again because it seems like a really good spot for info.
I have acquired myself an R200, looking at LSD centres. Thinking of going the S15 centre as it'll be a cheap alternative for the power i'll be making.
So I know that there are heaps of ways to do this, but I thought i'd ask if this way seems right.
1. Get the S15 Diff, unbolt the centre and fit that to the long nose R200. Will probably have to use the bolt shims to go 12mm to 10mm bolt on the crownwheel.
2. Use the S15 6 bolt diff output shafts and snap them in.
3. Obtain 280zx companion flanges and replace the datsun 4 bolt flanges with these.
4. Decide what axles to use. Get a set of 280zx axles and S15 axles and either, shorten the S15 ones and spline them then take off the outer 280zx cv race and install onto the s15 axle to bolt to the companion flange or... see if i can take off the diff side cv input shaft off the 280zx axles and install the s15 inner race onto that shaft and bolt up. Probably with some shortening also.
Butch510 gave me the idea.
Or is there another way? other than spending thousands on custom axles?
