Hi

i have a datsun 200b that i want to restore but i want to add a lil bit more to it i have taken the engine out and taken it apart to get rebuilt im want to get 137kw out of the l20 is that something i could do?

if so could you guys help me as im stuck for parts on what to get and were to sorce them i have looked in to carbis but dont really know much about the 200b or any datsun for that matter but relly like the car i know its a jap imported one with irs if that helps and wanting to get a manual for it as well could you guys help a nebbie out...

Welcome to the world of 200Bs :thumbsup:

137kw is a pretty big ask out of a street L20B (at the wheels that is), any particular reason you want that figure? Realistically you'd be better off going turbo if you're chasing that kind of power. Different options are listed around this website. Otherwise a set of twin sidedraught carbies will be your best carbie option for power.

Manual conversion is pretty simple, I worked it out and did it on a 200B when I was sixteen so it's definately doable if you've got the will and can source all of the required parts. You'll need to modify the gearbox crossmember but everything else can be done with basic tools.

L20b should do that in hp not kw easily
