Hello, I am trying to figure out how to wire a subaru legacy 1995 model wiper motor into my datsun 1600. its the same motor as the mazda 626 that people have swapped into there datsuns many times, but I cant find any post about wiring diagrams

I have the standard combination switch, witch if any body can tell me what colour wire does what that would be a great start...
If any one has any idea how to or has done the change over before that would be a massive help...

Try the dime quarterly sight search for DIETZ , he did a write up including wiring diagram on complete conversion Mazda 626 84-87 model, remembering this is American web sight so the parking position is exactly the opposite to Aust. I have done it including wiring and it works fine . Trouble is i haven't got car at home to copy my wiring for you. A couple of weeks away. Give me a ring on 0422-864218 after hours SA time . May have on computer at home

I have seen that sight but it does not give me the Datsun side of the wiring, the car I have has been required and does not have the standard loom, so I can't match the wire on the Datsun side to the pic on that sight ....

So was the old 1600 wiper motor working with the rewired loom correctly ???? if yes then you don't need to touch loom assuming the short wiper loom hasn't been touched also.
Looking into Mazda plug and comparing it to DQ wiring assuming main loom works try this-- across the top; black=black, blue w/- black stripe=yellow, blue= red. Bottom row blank= blank,----blue w/- white stripe =brown & blue w/- red stripe =green
You may need to look at an original 1600 loom for cross reference also. It worked for me but i had original loom.

The pulsar conversion is quite easy, maybe take a look at that.
