Hi just looking for some knowledge on the subject and why is it that 810's aren't really that big in Japan?

I know in the USA they were maxima's or became maxima's with 2.4's in them....

There are a couple of topics on here explaining the differences, but essentially the SSS is a coupé and the sedan is a sedan! Front guards and cowl panel forward is interchangeable, from windscreen on though they're different. All coupés are IRS, only early sedans are. Completely different interiors etc, anything in particular you'd like to know?

The 810 series never really took off as much as 510s and Zeds did. They pop up occasionally in Japan and do have some very cool options though.

They had better tail lights as well. Same shape but they don't fade like sedan ones.

Yeah I just put a bonnet and cowling on from a sedan so you confirmed what I thought about the coupes with regard to the body. I interior similar I'm sure also . yeah local content laws changed the 200's due to Borg Warner stuff fitted. I've owned 3 sedans one was IRS should have kept it.
