Just found out that Paul Walker had been killed in a car accident.
He was a passenger in a friends Porsche that hit a pole and then a tree and then exploded.

He was one of my favorite actors. Not the best actor in the world but brought us all those hours of cheasy Entertainment in the F&F movies.
And I know he was a huge car enthusiast who really loved his Jap cars both old and new.

Sad news.

His character bought a lot of credit to japanese and turbo cars. The first f&f opened my eyes to the possibilities when playing with cars.
I went from a v8 being performance to a stroker L20b twin webers and 200+hp. Or an rb26det ideally lol
His face took car modding mainstream, and showed your falcodore better be running huge cubes or that 'tame' skyline/supra/evo is going to eat you.
RIP paul 'brian o'conner' walker

He was a true car lover, a very admired person off the screen & a loss to the minority in Hollywood
Heres is the v10 porsche he died in while a passenger during a charity event

I clearly remember the moment when I first saw F&F way back when it came out, and straight away I idolised his character and in some way wanted to be like him, that humble guy that has a genuine passion for cars and racing with a smile always on his face. From what I understand the car was modified/built by the shop both Paul and Roger ran together, from the reports I've read it seems there was some mechanical fault with the car as witnesses confirmed that they were not street racing, but they were travelling at speed. So goes to show that you must always take it easy specially when testing something out that may not be 100%.

The news of the accident feel closer to home than what they truly are, I guess it must be due to the fact that Roger (the driver), is also a fellow El Salvadoran as I am :(

RIP Paul & Roger
