 Post subject: MINISPOOL in 200b diff

Hi boys im puttin a ECOTEC V6 in me 200b but i want a minispool for the diff. Dose anyone no were i can get one havnt had much luck with anythin yet.

It says you have a 77 200b so does it have irs or a solid rear axle? This will influence the answer. Don't know anything about the Datto live axles but if it's irs just stick a r200 LSD in it, the commonwhore engine shouldn't brake that.

I can't tell from your response whether you have a live axle or IRS, but honestly the live axle 200B diff has got to be possibly the weakest diff in the universe. They can barely handle a standard L20B yet alone anything bigger. If the centre doesn't let go then an axle certainly will. So I'd suggest upgrading first!

Put a skyline/commodore borg warner 78 diff in as mini/full spools are available for them.

+1 on that, many years ago dads diff broke twice in one week (after he replaced it) just by driving normaly, why not get a bluebird full rear end with the las centre, if i remember correctly it bolts straight up and if you use 910 trailing arms you can also use the 910 rear sway bar

i have already shortned the 200b diff so i wanna use that. how hard is a commo diff to fit would it bolt in i mite be able to get one from a mate.

Not sure how the FWD camiras diff would work although Shauno seems to really like them. I would be looking at a 910 diff.
