Hi what needs to be done to fit a late model SSS dash wiring wise? Do I need to shell out the 175 for a SSS specific dash loom off eBay and what about the engine bay loom? Will the sss dash loom plug into a standard 1600 loom Cheers

ive been looking into this as well. so far i have worked out roughly what the pins are on my loom plug that goes into the back of the existing dash. im pretty sure the tacho must run separate wiring. my plan was to try and make up a new plug with the correct number of wires and mate it to the existing loom and the appropriate senders/switches. still early days yet. my loom is out of car now so makes it a little easier to work out.

does anyone know if you can you still buy the round 12 pin plug that goes into back of dash as a common plug? that would make life easier.

I think you will still need the SSS oil psi sender for the SSS dash if you whant that guage to work.

so can it be made to work with some modification of a standard 70model onwards dash wiring loom and then separate wiring for tacho and other gauges etc?

it can and has been done before, it is just wiring after all. the jdm sss dash i got came with the complete harness( had to sell my soul for it) and i also the engine bay harness, i believe you will need this as well if you get the sss dash harness.

Tokyo2u reckons that the Jdm SSS dash loom will plug into the standard engine bay loom it just doesn't have the wiring needed for the tacho . My specialty is paint and panel not electrics haha
