 Post subject: forester diff in 180b???

Hey just found some forester diffs just wondering if they are a clean swap over or is there other things that need to be done any info would b greatly appreciated!! :-)

I'm looking at the subi diff swap my self, there are a few threads in the driveline section that cover most of what needs doing. If they are open I wouldn't bother putting one in a datto, if they are limited slip then they should be a good upgrade.

You need to muck around a little with clip-in vs bolt-in driveshafts and stuff. If you're just welding it, easier to use a Datsun diff, or a welded datsun centre in a Subaru housing, with Subaru crownwheel and pinion if you prefer the Subaru ratio.

Oh ok so if I got a forester diff n used the ring n pinion in my r160 that would b the best option do you think?
